OH SHIT! we're back
ask mark a question- mark@pusherbmxmagazine.com
hey mark
just how many beers is too many?
thanks crew jones
Haha. Depends. Is it too many when you start doing dick tricks on stage or steal the bars microphone? Maybe. Is it too many when you slip on a man hole cover and break your collar bone? Probably a freak accident. Is it too many when you start thinking you are the coolest guy in the bar screaming and yelling? Maybe for others around you. Is it too many when you launch a charcoal covered log over a fire knocking down a Canadian Pro Skater at a quarry Bonfire? Nah-thats humor. Is it too many if you agree to drinking the bong water at the jackson house? Fuck it. It was a dare.
Well I guess too many only comes when you drink all the beer. Leaving nothing for the next day. All these stories aren't true. Or At least we don't remember them happening.

With a lot of hard work and effort, our dreams are finally coming true. We have been working with our Park and Rec department over many years pushing our Colorado Springs "skatepark" project. We are in the home stretch of this thing and would like some feedback from all of you. Here is the design that Team Pain has come up with. What we're looking on getting from you is... your input! What do you think of this design? Is this something that you would want in your hometown? Is it something that you would go out of your way to go shred if it was in your area? Would you make vacation plans to specifically visit Colorado Springs to stop by this park? Does this look like a top-ten all-time skatepark? What are your top parks? What improvements would you make? This is supposed to be a cutting edge design that our Park and Rec wants to be proud of. Do you feel this design represents cutting edge? Please take the time to put in your two cents. We have some ideas to make it better but don't let us get caught in our tunnel vision. Like I said, this is a Team Pain design. Your input (positive or negative) can only make this park better and it's not going to hurt my feelings at all because it's not our design. I would like to go to this next meeting with some great ideas to present to our Park and Rec, the Pain Team, and our whole skatepark coalition.
This thing is going down in May, absolutely, positively for sure!!! Please give your age, where you live, and if you want, your occupation. If you’re interested in donating, you can do that, too. Let me know and I will give you the information on how to make a money donation to the park fund that is a 100% tax write off. Good stuff huh? I appreciate all the help in the past from everyone and hopefully will be seeing all of you here this summer!!! —Duncan Gore

Freestylin' Magazine. the baddest BMX mag ever from back in the day, just put out a 156 page book. This is an amazing book filled with old school interviews, photos and stories. Only a lucky few got an issue so if you get a chance to get your hands on one you better do it. Old school or new school you got to love it.
John Jennings has moved out to California to live with Stephen Murray. John is out there for support and to make Stephens life a little more fun. What a cool ass move.
Just got issue #3 of Holeshot zine in the mail. It's always good when a killer zine comes in the mail. Check out this issue for 3 bucks at www.holeshotbmx.net
Pat Sabo, of Colorado left his bike at the trails and somebody gladly took it home. Pat was hammered and has nobody to blame but his drunken self.
Brighton, Colorado has a new cement park that is bike friendly. Why not go check it out? Look for a park check here soon!
Props 69 is out and it shows off a few Colorado locals, Adrian Vigil, AJ Anaya, Billy Graham and Matt Olsen. The V got a lot of footage. Word!
Paul Kintner dirt jumping styler is the proud brother of Jill Kintner, who took home the bronze in women's BMX racing.
Nic Bonner is on is way back from Canada. Nic had gone up there to marry his sweetheart but romance isnt all it's cracked up to be. We welcome him back to Colorado with open arms.
Joe Pro, ex owner of Right Bros. bike shop in Colorado recently suffered a stroke. Not good at such an early age. Joe spent 8 days in the hospital and the stroke left him slurring some words and numbness in his left side. Everybody wish the guy a healthy recovery.
SandM bikes and Metal bikes have split ways. Not sure who will be making the Metal bikes in the future but we will keep you posted.
Just rolled into town from the Dew Tour with more stories than ever. Some I can tell you about others you will just have to read the book. Dew tour is a lot of fun for me as a judge. I get to watch all my friends and others ride there asses off, then at night we all rage the parties that they put on for everybody. This week was a blast to say the least,. Nike threw a hell of a party stocked with cereal, donuts, food and alcohol. Shit got loose as it should. The paparazzi were out and they all wanted shots with the legends of bmx. The contest was off the hook for sure, quad whips, decade 540s, triple whip 3s and the best dirt comp of all the Dew tours. Look for a full story and photos soon.
This may not be news to you but fixed gear bikes for the purpose of doing tricks, blows.
Jimmy Levan has had some more bad luck. Some old man made an illegal left turn that sent Jimmy flying. The hit broke his femur and required a titanium rod through his leg. I've been talking to Jimmy trying to give him some advise for what he's in store for since I'm going through that myself. Can a guy get a brake?
For those of you riders out there that have'nt had the pleasure (and I mean that tingling feeling in your pants) of meeting Darrel Nau, I recommend it as soon as possible. Sharp dresser with multiple talents, one them is knowing how to have a damn good time.
Big Island had a baby girl, a big congrats goes out to you buddy.
Ryan Nyquist is also having a baby.
Rumor has it that Nic Bonner is moving out of Colorado to Florida and then to the furthest reaches of Canada to marry his girl. This leaves most of us in Colorado real bummed and real puzzeld. Nic, if you are out there call the Pusher headquarters. Don't do it buddy.
Leigh Ramsdell crashed on a 20-stair rail, he got up to do it before the swelling came to his knee. Leigh got the rail and then went to slide the 20-stair feeble ledge, his peg popped off and he knocked himself out cold. So after a week of crutching around at the Dew tour Leigh went to have it looked at, and it it turns out he broke his femur and fractured his knee cap. He's out for the summer. I hope it wasn't from hanging out with me. Leigh is now in percocet land.
Billy Graham is road trippin' in Michigan and won't be back for his own trail jam. Bullshit right? Billy's been riding trails and hopefully wearing off his demented aggression towards life. If Billy can't ride trails somebody is going to die.
Clay Brown Just got back from crutching and judging around on the Dew Tour in Baltimore. 1st stop of the year and it was action packed. Nyquist won the dirt with 720 double barspins and cannonball doublebarspins. sick as fuck. Jamie Bestwick destroyed the vert ramp with unrivaled height and style. Alley oop downside whips at 9 feet drifting across the ramp. Daniel Dhers won street but everybody ripped, new guys were making the finals and crazy tricks were every run. High light of the week was seeing Stephen Murray back at the contest were he crashed a year ago.The man was looking good and everybody was glad to see him. TJ Lavin wrote and made a video for Stephen and it played on the big screen before finals in dirt. Intense! Stephen is doing good but still needs lots of help. You can help out by going to www.stehenmurrayfamilyfund.com
The V-jam is going down on the Friday the 4th of July, bbq beers and the best trails around. Were going to give out prizes like 40s and porn so it should be good. Best wreck best huck , best stiff but you name it. Come down and get dirty.
Mat Hoffman was in a car wreck and hit by a semi at fifty miles an hour. His shoulder had to be rebuilt and hit his head real bad with bad side affects. This is the last thing that this guy needs. Fuck that!

DG decade @ taylor elementary jumpbox show
Duncan Gore made some calls and got his shit together for a fundraiser for Taylor Elementary. Duncan Gore, Justin Merchak, Nic Bonner, Pat and Bryan hit the box with Chris on emcee. The show went well with a backflip -arama finale. and even with a broken finger-nic still gets the job done. Nice work fellas!
Nic Bonner went to the furthest city in Canada to spend 2 weeks with a chick doing what lovers do. Instead of a romantic getaway nic got hella sick and spent the week in the hospital. A cancelled flight and a huge doctor bill later he is now back in Colorado shredding.
The V got wrecked buy some pussy ass bitches. But you can't stop us as we are already riding. Why would somebody destroy jumps?
Mark Rainha got in car wreck and had to sport a neck brace for a while. Should be ok because he's from Boston.
Clay Brown would like to report that his bike is the best bike in Colorado because it can jump the V and looks oh so good.
Stephen Murray will be designing the Dew dirt courses for 2008.
Fuck Yeah!
is back on the 20. Equipped with a brand new complete bike, SandM LTF with all the trimmings.

jay table @ boulder
Jay does not liked to be called a toothless hick. Just ask the guy at Winter Park ski resort in Colorado. Jay and this guy got into it in the
parking lot and the guy called Jay a toothless hick and the shit was on. Jay had a full mountain dew and proceeded to pour it on the guys face. Jay then describes how he used his long old arm to grab the dude and give him one in the face.
Welcome back to riding you toothless hick.
